2016-06-14 14.43.21Arthur (left) and Laurie from Milton and Shipton under Wychwood respectively, are members of the New Wychwood Singers.  The choir started in the Milton under Wychwood Library, in May 2011, with five singers!  There were at least 25 at the rehearsal I attended.

The choir gave a concert at Church Westcote for the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations.  Laurie sang Ave Maria solo; Arthur and Laurie together sang Amazing Grace. I wish I could have heard them.  And I wish you could have seen Laurie leaving the Village Hall on his mobility scooter, decorated with all the flags of the British Isles…a line of juggernauts braking hard behind him.  Fearless, and inspirational, both of them.
